Henry Lawson Reserve at McMahons Point is a cracking spot for a wedding ceremony. It's got stunning Sydney Harbour views, it's a breeze to get to, it's got a lovely intimate vibe, and the fact that it's a public space gives you loads of flexibility.
This spot offers breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city skyline, making for a truly spectacular and iconic backdrop for your wedding photos and ceremony. You'll also get a glimpse of Goat Island and Darling Harbour, which just adds to the visual appeal.
Located in the beautiful suburb of McMahons Point, the reserve is a cinch for your guests to get to. It's close to public transport, including the McMahons Point ferry wharf, so it's super convenient for people to arrive and leave. Plus, being so close to the CBD means there are heaps of reception venues, restaurants, and hotels nearby.
Compared to some of Sydney's busier, more well-known spots, Henry Lawson Reserve is a less crowded, elevated foreshore park. This means you can have a more private and intimate ceremony, away from the constant flow of tourists, while still enjoying those magnificent views.
Since it's a public park, the reserve gives you way more flexibility than a lot of private venues. This allows you to bring in your own vendors and decorations, which often makes it a more affordable option. You can create a truly unique outdoor wedding without the rigid rules of a hired venue.
The mix of the iconic city, the well-kept green space, and the peaceful waterfront provides a bunch of different and beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos. You can easily wander from the ceremony area to other parts of the reserve and the surrounding streets of McMahons Point to get a great variety of shots.
