Lizard Log Park is nestled within the sprawling Western Sydney Parklands, offering a picturesque bushland setting. This provides a beautiful and tranquil natural environment for both the wedding ceremony and for stunning, memorable wedding photos. The outdoor spaces, including the Pavilion and Amphitheatre, provide a canvas for a nature-themed aesthetic.
While the park itself is a great backdrop, the presence of an on-site, award-winning venue like Novella on the Park is a key advantage. Novella provides an elegant and grand setting for the reception, complete with multiple function rooms to accommodate various wedding sizes (from 100 to 750 guests). This means you can have a park ceremony followed by a sophisticated indoor reception without having to travel.
The park features numerous picnic shelters that can be booked for special occasions. These shelters offer covered spaces, seating, and access to nearby amenities, making them a great option for a more intimate and budget-friendly wedding or a casual reception.
Lizard Log is a well-equipped public park with a number of amenities that benefit a wedding. It has electric and coal barbecues, modern toilet blocks (including accessible facilities), and plenty of open space for guests to relax and enjoy. These features make it easy to host a large group without needing a formal, expensive venue.
Beyond the ceremony site, the parkland's varied landscape offers endless backdrops for beautiful wedding photos. From the bushland to grassy fields and scenic walking paths, a couple can capture a wide range of images to remember their special day.
While it's a public park, you do need to book it for events, and it's essential to check the specific booking requirements and fees with Greater Sydney Parkland to ensure a smooth planning process.
