Yes, a booking must be made with the local council to secure this location for a wedding ceremony. North Sydney Council manages this land, and they charge a site application fee to ensure your event is authorised. If you have more than 20 guests, council approval is mandatory.

Requirements: For ceremonies at Mary Booth Lookout, you must submit a "Park & Reserve Hire" application. Fees vary based on the duration and the number of guests, typically starting around $450 for a 2-hour block for small groups, with higher fees for larger guest counts.

Now it doesn't happen often, but when it does you will need to shelter under trees or bring umbrellas - how romantic.
a) Confetti and Natural Materials: I understand that to maintain the cleanliness and integrity of our space, confetti of any sort, including natural materials such as flower petals, rice, glitter, or artificial equivalents, are strictly prohibited within The Studio premises, both indoors and outdoors. A cleaning fee may be charged for any violation of this policy.
b) Public park I understand that this location is a public park and no fee has been paid for it. As such the specific location in the park may vary.
c) Public Liability Insurance I understand that if Public Liability documentation (cover note) is required (more than 60 people), there will be an additional fee of $50.
c) Guest Numbers I understand that the Standard number of people is 20. This can be increased to 60 people for an additional fee of $75 (click on Add Ons after making booking. If I wish to have more than 60 people we will need to book the location and pay any associated fees
b) Standard Duration of Booking is 30 Minutes
I understand that the total time for the standard booking is 30 minutes and that this time cannot be extended on the day of the ceremony. However, if you would like to extend the duration of your booking, this can be done, prior to the date of the ceremony, for an additional fee of $150. (Click on Add Ons after making your booking.)
d) Public Liability Insurance
I understand that if Public Liability documentation (cover note) is required, there will be an additional fee of $50.
e) No amplified music
I understand that amplified music is not permitted at this locations and fines may apply.
