A unique feature of this location is the lovely ocean pool, carved into the natural rock formation. This provides an additional, calm water feature and incredible photographic opportunities. The surrounding rock pools also add a rugged, coastal charm to your wedding photos, giving your album a truly unique Sydney seaside feel.
Oak Park Beach is often less crowded than other popular Cronulla beaches, offering a more tranquil and intimate setting for your ceremony. The relaxed vibe means your guests can feel at ease and truly enjoy the natural surroundings and the sound of the ocean, making for a truly memorable celebration.
Being on the Cronulla peninsula, Oak Park is surprisingly easy to get to. It is within walking distance of the main Cronulla hub and the Cronulla train station, making it convenient for guests arriving from across Sydney. Plus, there is street parking nearby, simplifying logistics for those who choose to drive.
Compared to booking a private or traditional indoor venue, holding your ceremony at a public park like Oak Park Beach can be a much more budget-friendly choice. You get a million-dollar view without the hefty venue hire fee, allowing you to allocate your budget to other important elements of your wedding day.
Please aim to arrive 15 minutes prior to your ceremony (along with your guests) to ensure you are in the right location and ready to go at your scheduled time. Oak Park Beach is located at 156-164 Ewos Parade, Cronulla NSW 2230.
Private Car: Oak Park Beach is easily accessible by car. The best access is via Ewos Parade, which runs along the park. You will find on-street metered parking along Ewos Parade and surrounding streets. During peak summer weekends, allow extra time to find a suitable parking spot.
Train: Cronulla train station is the closest major transport hub and is the only Sydney beach directly accessible by train. The journey from Central Station takes approximately 50 minutes. From Cronulla Station, it is a pleasant 15–20 minute walk along the beautiful Esplanade/coastal path past South Cronulla and Shelly Beach to reach Oak Park.
Taxi/Ride Share: A taxi or ride-share service can drop you and your guests directly on Ewos Parade, right next to the park and beach area, minimising the walk. This is a great option for the wedding party and those with mobility concerns.
Now it doesn't happen often, but when it does you will need to shelter under trees or bring umbrellas - how romantic.
On-site Shelter:
a) Confetti and Natural Materials: I understand that to maintain the cleanliness and integrity of our space, confetti of any sort, including natural materials such as flower petals, rice, glitter, or artificial equivalents, are strictly prohibited within The Studio premises, both indoors and outdoors. A cleaning fee may be charged for any violation of this policy.
b) Public park I understand that this location is a public park and no fee has been paid for it. As such the specific location in the park may vary.
c) Public Liability Insurance I understand that if Public Liability documentation (cover note) is required, there will be an additional fee of $50.
c) Guest Numbers I understand that the Standard number of people is 20. This can be increased to 60 people for an additional fee of $75 (click on Add Ons after making booking. If I wish to have more than 60 people we will need to book the location and pay any associated fees
