As a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, it’s an ideal setting to exchange your vows, capturing the quintessential Australian lakeside charm. We've compiled all the essential information to help you plan your perfect day at this picturesque **wedding venue**.
Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve is a highly sought-after location for couples looking for an idyllic, yet accessible, outdoor **marriage venue**. Here are five compelling reasons why you should choose this beautiful spot for your ceremony:
The Reserve faces west, offering some of the most spectacular sunset views on the Central Coast. Imagine saying 'I do' as the sky explodes in vibrant colour over Tuggerah Lake, providing a natural, breathtaking backdrop for your photos. It's a truly unforgettable experience for you and your guests.
The Long Jetty itself is an instantly recognisable and popular photography location. You’ll have access to not just the reserve's open green space, but also the beautiful wooden jetties—perfect for unique and romantic wedding photos that are guaranteed to stand out.
The foreshore offers ample space for your ceremony setup. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a larger event, the expansive grassy areas mean you can position your ceremony to maximise the lake views while providing plenty of space for seating and standing guests, making it a flexible **wedding venue**.
Being close to the vibrant Long Jetty strip means great options for pre- or post-ceremony celebrations. The surrounding area is known for its trendy cafes, antique shops, and local charm, allowing you to easily transition to a nearby reception or simply enjoy the local vibe.
The calm waters of Tuggerah Lake provide a peaceful and relaxed setting, unlike the often-windy ocean beaches. This sheltered environment is perfect for a stress-free outdoor ceremony, allowing you and your guests to focus purely on the joy of the moment.
Standard: 20 People. Add Guests: Add up to 60 in total +$75.
You can have up to 20 people (the 2 of you and 18 guests) at your ceremony. This excludes children under 6 years old. For an additional fee of $75, this number can be increased to 60 people in total. To add guests after your initial booking, go to the Add-ons tab in your portal.
I understand that if I plan to have more than 20 people, it is my responsibility to make the required booking with the park authority and pay any associated site fees directly to them.
Please aim to arrive 15 minutes prior to your ceremony (along with your guests) to ensure you are in the right location and ready to go at your scheduled time. Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve is located at Tuggerah Parade, Long Jetty NSW 2261.
The Reserve is easily accessible by car via the Central Coast Highway (A49). **Parking is available** in dedicated car parks along Tuggerah Parade and in the surrounding streets. On busy weekends, parking can be competitive, so we recommend that the bridal party and your **wedding celebrant** arrive earlier. Guests should be advised to allow extra time to find a spot.
Using a pre-booked taxi or a ride-share service like Uber is an excellent way to ensure the bridal party arrives on time and stress-free. The destination should be set to "Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve, Tuggerah Parade, Long Jetty." This option also helps alleviate guest parking concerns.
Local bus services (e.g., Busways) operate routes that service the Long Jetty area. The closest bus stops are typically located on the Central Coast Highway, which is a short walk (5-10 minutes) from the foreshore reserve. Check the Transport for NSW trip planner for the most up-to-date timetables and routes.
Now it doesn't happen often, but when it does you will need to shelter under trees or bring umbrellas - how romantic.
As a public outdoor reserve managed by Central Coast Council, there are no permanent, dedicated wet weather structures available for weddings at the Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve. Any covered areas, such as small shelters or gazebos, are public, cannot be exclusively reserved, and are often insufficient to shelter a full wedding party.
