Booking and fees for Out the front of the MCG (Light pole 1)

No booking is required because you will be with the crowd and the ATMOSPHERE!!! - you REBELS!

Guest Numbers:

Standard: 20 People. This can not be increased.

You can have up to 20 people (the 2 of you and 18 guests) at your ceremony. This excludes children under 6 years old. This can not be increased

Getting there:

Please aim to arrive 15 minutes prior to your ceremony (along with your guests) to ensure you are in the right location and ready to go at your scheduled time.

Private Car: Parking is available at the MCG (Gate 7 via Brunton Avenue) or via on-street metered parking on Jolimont Street and Jolimont Terrace. Note that parking is strictly limited and often unavailable on event/match days.
Train: Take the Hurstbridge or Mernda lines to Jolimont Station. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk through the park to the MCG. Alternatively, take any line to Richmond Station and walk 10 minutes.
Tram: Catch the Route 75 or Route 48 tram to the Jolimont Station/MCG stop. Route 70 also stops at the MCG/Melbourne Park stop.
Walking: If you are in the CBD, it is a beautiful 15-20 minute walk from Federation Square via the William Barak Bridge.

Wet weather:

Now it doesn't happen often, but when it does you will need to shelter under trees or bring umbrellas - how romantic. And what ever!!!!

Conditions of booking:

a) Public Park Acknowledgment

I understand that this venue is a public park and that no site fee has been charged for its use by you (the provider).

b) Guest Capacity

I understand the Standard maximum number of people is 20. I understand, as we will be part of the crowd, more than 20 people may be had to keep together

Booking Duration

I understand the Standard booking time is 30 minutes, which is plenty of time for a beautiful ceremony. I acknowledge that this duration cannot be extended on the day of the ceremony.

d) Confetti and Prohibited Materials

I understand that confetti of any sort, including natural materials such as flower petals, rice, glitter, or artificial equivalents, are strictly prohibited.
